Livable CRD is a coalition, not an organization. The groups below already work on transit, housing, climate, arts, walking, cycling, healthcare access and governance in this region, year round and mostly with volunteers. For the municipal election they pooled the one thing none of them could do alone: put the same questions to every candidate in thirteen municipalities and publish the answers in one place.

What partners do

Each partner writes the questions in its own area of focus and grades the answers to those questions, using a published methodology. A transit group does not grade the housing answers, and no partner grades the whole questionnaire: the grade a candidate carries on a topic comes from the people who work on that topic. The full question set is public, so anyone can see which questions were asked before seeing what anyone scored.

Partners are not endorsing anyone by taking part, and neither are we. Listing an organization here says it helped build the questionnaire — nothing about who it wants you to vote for.

Partner organizations

14 organizations from across the Capital Regional District. The pill on each card is the policy area that organization writes and grades questions in.

Joining

The coalition is open to organizations working on livability in the Capital Regional District. If your group wants to add questions in its area of focus, or to help with the work of collecting and publishing answers, email [email protected]. Donations from individuals pay for the site and the outreach; partners contribute time rather than money.
