Livable CRD is a non-partisan voter-education project focused on municipal elections in the Capital Regional District of British Columbia. We are not a political party and we do not endorse candidates — we publish information so residents can make informed choices.
Our mission
The region needs affordable homes, reliable transit, climate action, healthcare access, and vibrant communities. Local councils shape how those priorities show up in local policy. This scorecard makes candidate positions easy to compare across the policy areas our coalition evaluates.
How the coalition works
Participating organizations collaborate on a shared questionnaire covering topics across nine topic areas — from transit and housing to arts, climate, walking, cycling, youth, healthcare, and general livability. Responses are collected from candidates (or documented when candidates decline to respond). Grades are assigned using a published methodology so the process is transparent and reproducible.
What is coming
- Final questionnaire and methodology
- Per-municipality pages for each of the 16 participating municipalities
